Awesome Stay!

As a frequent VRBO traveler, I depend on reviews to help make decisions on where to stay, but rarely write reviews. The Pedal Inn was so comfortable and immaculate I have to sing their praises! They were so welcoming, the converted barn was so charming and everything was immaculate, fresh and clean. The sheets were like butter and the beds so comfy. Steve’s homemade cookies were some of the best ever and right out of the oven upon our late arrival. Donna knew we were leaving early the next morning and she quietly left delicious homemade super muffins, juice and some of the best coffee I have ever had outside our door at about 6:30 am. This place is out of the way, but if you are in the area you have to stop here…I promise you will not be disappointed. Great customer service ahead of our stay and I would definitely recommend a stop here…the photos do not do it justice!

Thank you for your wonderful hospitality at the Pedal Inn Bike Ranch!  You have a beautiful offering of clean, fresh, comfortable accommodations with lots of Southern charm!  Thank you for allowing us to stay for such a brief time.  Our only regret was that we arrived so late in the evening and had to leave so early the next morning.  We’re already talking about how to correct this next year!  We hope to bring more friends and hang out and enjoy your place to the fullest!
Thanks, again!

Everything was amazing at this new lodge, Donna and Jeff are the best hosts you could ask for! Everything was extremely clean and beautiful, and everything was available that you needed. Could not ask for a better place to stay, they really made my trip even more awesome! June 28th, 2016.

Thanks to Steve and Donna for a a wonderful visit! What a special place they have! We stayed last weekend at this property for a quick visit to Brevard. I am only sad it was not longer. They have done a fantastic job converting this horse barn into a small bed and breakfast. The house is very well decorated with no detail missed. The decor is rustic but sophisticated. From the moment we arrived we felt taken care of with lights on, music playing and welcome cookies. The property was quiet and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well, which included, an outdoor kitchen and front patio to watch the horses. I can’t say enough about this little gem. It is convenient to downtown Brevard and is everything you could hope for! We hope to come back soon. June 22nd, 2016.
My daughter and I stayed at the Pedal Inn for a night in between sessions of her summer camp. The property is extremely well maintained and the lodge/rooms are brand new and extremely comfortable. The owners were extremely attentive and accommodating (they let us check in at 10 a.m. as there was no guest in our room the night before and were very lenient about the 11 a.m. checkout time). Free laundry facilities conveniently located just outside the lodge and a very rustic and comfortable common area for the guests. When my daughter wanted to meet the horses, the owner came directly up from their house (on site) and let her walk and groom the horses. There was a tray of fruit, scones, OJ, and coffee outside our room when we woke up. We had a wonderful father’s day weekend, and I would highly recommend the inn for anybody looking to hike, bike or just relax in the Mountains. June 18th, 2016.

A Perfect Place to Stay for Biking DuPont and Pisgah!

Date of Stay

I really found a gem when searching for a place to stay on a recent bike trip. The Pedal Inn was ideal in so many ways. Very close to Dupont State Park and only a short 12 minute drive to Brevard. The converted horse barn was practically brand new. Rooms were very nice with comfortable beds and privacy. The common room had everything you needed and provides the perfect space to meet and socialize with other mountain bikers staying at the Inn. And some may likely frown on the fact that there was not a TV to be found, it honestly was a pleasant change to relax, enjoy the mountains, and not have a TV around for a few days. And while the Inn itself exceeded my expectations, it was the hospitality shown by the owners, Steve and Donna, that really made it a great place. They were so nice to everyone and went out of their way to make sure all guests had whatever they needed. Each morning, we were brought a breakfast of some of the best muffins or danishes I’ve ever had along with fruit, juice, and coffee. Water and snacks were also available to during the day. I would like to send a special thank you to Steve and Donna. I’ll definitely be back again!

Perfect spot for a MTB getaway!

My husband and I stayed at the Pedal Inn over 4th of July weekend to ride DuPont/Pisgah and relax. We stayed in the Breaker room – super clean, big comfortable bed, fantastic shower. Common area is spacious with couches, tables, fridge, kitchen, everything you might need. Donna and Steve are wonderful hosts and they even have good coffee and breakfast waiting for you outside your room in the mornings. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to sit outside with a wonderful view of the mountains, and, of course, to hang out with the horses (Breaker and Tango). They are very sweet, and we gave up our apples that we brought to give them a treat 🙂 There were other guests that weekend (also there to mtb) and we all had a great time hanging out, drinking beers in the evening. We will definitely be back next time we travel to NC to ride!

Steve & Donna have done an incredible job converting their horse barn into a very fun & cool place to make your adventure headquarters while visiting the land of waterfalls. They made us feel more than welcomed, from the homemade batch of cookies fresh out of the oven upon our arrival to the delicious blueberry scones & coffee for breakfast. Steve & Donna were more than happy to chat about the local area, but also gave us ample space to settle in on our own. We had an incredible time and have already begun talks about renting out the entire barn for an extended family retreat of sorts. Bottom line, I can’t say enough about how cool the converted barn is or how great the host are. Thanks guys! You have truly built something special.

This place is a definite gem! It is very charming. We loved the outdoor kitchen and all the details that they put into the B&B, “Barn and Breakfast” The owners, Donna, Steve, and their son, Spencer were sooo… accomadatimg and patient with my children and helped our family build memories that last forever. In fact, my daughter, who is 9, said, “” Some places when the trip is over you are ready to go home, but HERE you don’t want to leave!” This was a perfect place for families to bond closer together. We thought it a plus not to have TV,, of course , if you wanted you could bring your lap top or such as there is free WIFI. The place is extremely clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable, private shower and bathroom. The continental breakfasts were delicious! The BEST blueberry muffins ever, but so were all the breakfast muffins and scones and seasonal fruit. Wonderful, wonderful,,wonderful place to stay! Looking forward to returning soon!

Wonderful Stay at the Pedal Inn

Our family of four, two adults two teenagers, just returned from the Pedal Inn ( we stayed in the room with bunk beds). The place was great! Very convenient to Brevard and Pisgah….sliding rock, looking glass falls, etc. Also super close to Rosman tubing/kayaking etc. The Inn is super cute as it is a renovated horse barn…the old “Stalls” are three separate guest quarters with NICE modern en suite bathrooms….and then a common area with couches, tables, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, etc. We really loved it…the Inn keepers are just so kind and thoughtful with delicious breakfast and making sure you have what you need. Would highly highly highly recommend as a base camp place to stay for Brevard activities. Immaculate, updated and easy to find.

The Pedal Inn Bike Ranch was amazing! Beautiful location centrally located to the Dupont and Pisgah Forest. The ranch worked perfect for our Girl Scout trip to the mountains to work on our badges. Donna and Steve go out of their way to add a personal touch of home. Fresh ground coffee, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and cold water in the refrigerator to the fully stocked bathrooms with anything and everything anyone might need. Absolutely loved having the gas grill and outdoor kitchen area to make meals for our group. Wonderful time with lots of memories made. Katie, West End, NC

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Pedal Inn bike ranch earlier this month. Great location close to Brevard. Comfy rooms each with own bathroom and linens provided. Outdoor kitchen with equipment and washer/ dryer. A peaceful place to relax after an adventure and enjoy the view. No TV, Which was just fine with us, but great stereo and Wi-Fi . We enjoyed meeting Donna and Steve and their horse, Tango.

  • My husband and I rented the entire barn and cannot say enough positive things about our stay. When we arrived there was fresh baked cookies and throughout the week Donna brought other baked goods to us. The ambience of the barn was cozy and inviting. Everything was in pristine condition from the beds to the linens. We cooked several times using the outdoor kitchen which I loved. At night we had a fire and in the morning when we woke up we had a beautiful view of the mountains. There is no doubt we will be back. Donna and Larry did a magnificent job of recreating this barn for a great place to stay when we travel there to mountain bike and hike. No negatives here.
